Armenia and Azerbaijan have resumed peace talks in Geneva to address the long-standing conflict over the Nagorno-Karabakh region. Mediated by international diplomats, this marks the first formal dialogue between the two countries since the ceasefire collapsed in 2023.

The negotiations aim to establish a framework for lasting peace, including border demarcation, refugee resettlement, and mutual security arrangements. Both sides have expressed cautious optimism.

\"We owe it to our citizens to resolve this peacefully,\" said Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan. Azerbaijani officials echoed the sentiment, stressing economic cooperation as a path forward.

International observers, including representatives from the EU and UN, are hopeful that this meeting could pave the way for a sustainable peace agreement.
