Thousands of Cameroonians have fled to Nigeria to escape the ongoing conflict in the country\'s English-speaking regions, which began in 2017. The violence has resulted in over 4,000 civilian deaths and at least 712,000 displacements. Refugees in Nigeria, particularly in Cross River state, receive support from the UNHCR, including monthly stipends and vocational training. Many, like Solange Ndonga Tibesa, who survived abduction and violence by separatists, are now rebuilding their lives through volunteer work and training in environmental technologies.
